Push Your Luck

Push you luck is a board game mechanic that rewards taking a chance. This could be in the form of drawing blind from a bag or rolling dice. However the designer creates it, players are required to decide whether to settle for what they have got, or press their luck to increase their advantage in the game, often with disastrous outcomes should the risk backfire.
