Miniature Games

For the purpose of Board Game Review, games will be divided into four distinct categories: Board Games, Card Games, Dice Games and Miniature Games.

Don’t be fooled by the name miniature games take up a lot of space on the table! These games are generally open world, with boundaries only being the physical space available or a play mat. These games are named after the accompanying array of miniatures. These miniatures can often be painted adding extra depth to the hobby.

The boundaries are now frequently merging so some games may appear in more than one category. Generally though, a game will go into the category which most represents it and its components. Other subdivisions will occur such as Word Games, but you will discover these as you browse this website. Hopefully it will all start to make sense!
