Top 5 Independent Board Game Accessory Stores
I send a lot of affiliate links to Amazon, it’s just an easy way to help support what I do. Honestly though, I’m not that comfortable with sending people there. However, I have discovered people will use Amazon regardless, if they are going to use it (and stats show they often chose that link rather than the links to games on Board Game Prices), I figure I might as well get a miniscule kickback from them after they have read my review.
Anyway, I’m not here to justify my affiliate links, instead I want to shine the spotlight on some awesome independent UK-based board game accessory sellers that deserve your attention. You know, to offer a tiny bit of non-affiliated balance for the traffic I send to the internet behemoth.
I know I am a tiny bit late for Independent’s Day for shopping with smaller businesses but I don’t think that should be limited to just one weekend a year anyway. I think it should just be our default!
Also, I am aware there are lots of fantastic independent board game accessory stores out there for you to discover, these are just five I have personally used and love!
Shirts And Merch
This company sells some pretty cool board game inspired tee-shirts. They are responsible for about half of the tees in my wardrobe. I can vouch for their quality and that they wash well. They are also true to size from my experience. I buy a Large for reference. Go check Shirts and Merch out!

Trayed And Tested
Glorious dice trays, dice pouches and dice tray pouches await you at the Trayed And Tested Etsy store. All the items are handmade by Aby in Halifax. I love the different fabrics on all the dice trays and I’m sure the Tolkien inspired designs are super popular. I got a custom one with my logo on a few years ago now. I reckon the hardest thing for you will be choosing which of the incredible designs to go for!

Roll For Creativity GB
I fell in love with the D20 Floating Dice Potions when I saw them at the Roll For Creativity GB stand at UK Games Expo one year. I don’t play DnD or similar so I needed a really good excuse to want one and fast so that I could convince my wife this was an essential purchase. On the hoof I decided it would make a most excellent first player chooser and the purchase was approved. I absolutely adore the pre-game excitement of shaking my Nightvision potion – I think you will too! In fact, I loved it so much I bought another special release at Christmas! Oh and when you browse the store be sure to check out the adorable crochet dragon creations out too!

Geeky Meeple 3D Printing
A colourful array of 3D printed accessories can be found at the Geeky Meeples 3D Printing store on Etsy and eBay. I own multiple stackable board game trays with funnels so that I can keep components neat and put them away easily in a bag afterwards. I also have card and resource holders in each of our player colours. I also have treated myself to some of the specific board game upgrades, such as the trays for It’s a Wonderful World. They always have an excellent range on offer when they go ‘On Tour’ to places like UK Games Expo, AireCon and Paradice too.

Vodka Margarine
So the Polymer Clay creations from Vodka Margarine are only board game adjacent if you follow the marvellous @trywingames. This creator of the game Can’t Go regularly features a little monster in his posts created by Vodka Margarine in Norfolk. I loved it so much I ordered one for myself and the furry little creature often brings a smile to his face as he sips on a cup of tea – ready for a chat! I couldn’t resist adding a couple of other items to my basket too under the guise of saving on postage. I love these characterful creations and I hope you do too (even if they aren’t truly board game related)!
